The New Year is one of my favorite times… a clean uncluttered looking house just by simply putting away decorations, the possibilities of what can happen in the next year, setting new goals, finally some time to organize, etc. etc. Here is the desk area in the kitchen I haven’t show you yet. One goal is to keep this desk looking somewhat like this, not covered with mail and after school craft projects. Someone please tell me what to do with those! I can only keep so many sheep covered in cotton balls.
Side note: This cookbook is from Prune, an amazing little restaurant in New York. If you are traveling there, you have to go for Brunch and get the dutch style pancake, trust me. Their decor is adorable too.
I’m a paper person – and a serial list maker. Hence why I needed this notepad. Also why I needed this planner for 2017. If you are a box checker you will LOVE this planner. Lots of lists for each week to check. Or re-write on the next week’s list.
I also have a habit of starting a new cleaning routine every few months. I just can’t seem to figure out what works with our weekly schedule. Maybe 2017 is the year. I have found so much inspiration from this gal, and plan to do her Zone Cleaning Routine. She takes you room by room and reminds you of the things you probably should have already cleaned out or reorganized.
Cheers to keeping our kitchen desks somewhat clean and keeping those cleaning routines. Or starting new ones, at least you’re cleaning, right?
